Seward Book Club Virtual Meeting

Dec 17th 2020 7:00 PM

The Seward House Museum invites you to join us every month this fall for a virtual book discussion with new titles in American History. Museum staff have selected four exciting books related to the life, era, or broad legacy of the Seward family. We encourage you to purchase these works and then read one along with us throughout each month. Then, join us for a live community conversation with the author of each book.

These programs are completely free to the public. For more information about joining these online events, please call the museum at 315-252-1283 or visit our website (www.sewardhouse.org).

December Book: Fanny Seward, A Life (Syracuse University Press, 2015). A Seward House Museum classic! Return to this excellent biography of William Seward’s youngest child or pick it up for the first time. Trudy Krisher’s account chronicles the bright-but-brief life of Fanny Seward, a literary young lady who had an eyewitness view to her family’s part in ending slavery, fighting a Civil War, and changing American history forever. In addition to this work of nonfiction Krisher is the author of many books of young adult and children’s literature. Her book discussion with the SHM will take place on 12/17 at 7:00 PM on FB LIVE.
