Live Streaming

Can’t make it to the Seward House Museum in person? Staff from the Education Department can beam right into your classroom, library, or community center!

The Seward House Museum is pleased to be able to offer a variety of live-streaming and remote learning opportunities. These include virtual tours of the Museum, as well as specialty tours; education staff can also tailor virtual lectures from select rooms to customize the experience.

In addition, staff from the Seward House Museum offer a number of virtual programs appropriate for audiences of all ages. Topics include (but are not limited to): the legacy of William Seward, Seward & Lincoln, the Civil War and Reconstruction, Mr. Seward’s travels around the world, Seward’s Folly, the Seward family and New York State, abolition and emancipation, the Underground Railroad, Seward and Harriet Tubman, the Seward women and women’s rights, and more.  Have a special request? Let us know: education@sewardhouse.org.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the SHM would like to offer additional remote learning options for teachers to provide their students. The resource kits below offer students a chance to watch a video tour of the museum, along with an accompanying lesson plan. Have any questions? Contact us at outreach@sewardhouse.org.
