Hands-On History!

The past comes to life in this brand new summer experience. Campers will spend a fun and educational week immersing themselves in all that History's Hometown has to offer with the Cayuga Museum, Harriet Tubman National Historical Park, Harriet Tubman Home, Inc.,  and the Seward House Museum. Combining their resources and stories, these three sites will invite campers behind the scenes to explore hand's-on history. Highlights include an archaeological dig with a park ranger, picnicking in Fort Hill Cemetery, a Victorian tea and luncheon at the Seward House, playing ball with the Auburn Double Days, and film-making in the Case Research Lab. To conclude, all campers and their families will be invited for an evening of screening camp movies and learning how to navigate through stargazing under Auburn's night skies. 

Hands-On History Camp will run 7/8 - 7/12, from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM at the Cayuga Museum of History and Art, Harriet Tubman National Historical Park and Harriet Tubman Home, Inc., and the Seward House Museum.  Appropriate for ages 10 – 13.
