6:00 - 8:30 PM - GLACIER GALA
Celebrate the sesquicentennial of Mr. Seward’s Alaska Purchase in style. Following the unveiling of the new Seward statue, join us for this elegant event which brings the best of Alaskan inspired cuisine, catered by the award-winning Inns of Aurora. Sway to the big band sounds of the Salt City Jazz Collective. Santiago Cigar Factory will be providing hand-rolled cigars as homage to Mr. Seward, a connoisseur of fine cigars. Eat, drink, and bask in the bounty of Seward’s legacy achievement in the inimitable elegance of the 1840 Dulles Inn, the boyhood home of Auburn’s other Secretary of State. The evening gala affords not only Alaskan epicurean delights, but the chance to converse about the diplomatic “Folly” that changed the course of history.
Parking will be available in the municipal lot adjacent to the Seward House Museum and along South Street.
Cocktail attire is recommended.
