First Friday Community Event

Jun 3rd 2016 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Join us for a First Friday Community Event on Friday, June 3rd from 5-8 pm!

Please join us for the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of 33 South Street, now the Seward House Museum.  The Museum is launching a new website and re-branding project which was fully funded by a local business and local foundations.  Also, the William G. Pomeroy Foundation sponsored a new, historically accurate carpet which is being completed by Family Heirloom weavers of Pennsylvania.  Those artisans have recreated period correct carpets for such museums as Mount Vernon, Appomattox Courthouse, and Monticello.

The carpet will be installed in the Museum’s library and the new website will launch on June 3, 2016!  Tours of the library and parolor, live music in the garden with Anne Adessa and Off the Cuff, and refreshments will be provided.

This event is free and open to the public.
